The Mr. Scrappy Garbage Disposal Single Outlet Air Switch Assembly Kit is used to operate a food waste disposer and eliminates the need for a wall switch. Simply push the button and air will travel through the air tube and into the air switch inside the power module which will turn the disposer on and off. The kit includes a button, a single outlet power module, and a 5.8 ft plastic air tube. Mr. Scrappy offers multiple button color options to choose from so you can match your button with your other kitchen fixtures which will enhance your kitchen’s overall appearance. Available button color options are Brushed Nickel, Chrome, Matte Black, Oil-Rubbed Bronze, Satin Nickel, and White. The air switch button is designed to be able to be used with wet hands, ensuring a safe kitchen experience. The air switch can be installed through the sink top, the countertop, or inside the cabinet. A standard 1-3/8" inch diameter hole is required for installation. After installing the button, connect the air tube to button and power module. Then, plug waste disposer into module and plug the module into a 120V electrical outlet. All components that are necessary for installation come attached to the button - includes seal washer, mounting nut, and air tube nut. Make sure to cut off any excess tubing to prevent the air tube from coiling up and making the air switch non-responsive. The Mr. Scrappy Air Switch Kit is compatible with all brands of disposers, including Insinkerator, Moen, Waste King, and Waste Maid.
